Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion
For more than a century, the Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion has stood as one of the region's most treasured historic landmarks. The Quincy Museum relocated its charter to the mansion in 1980, with a goal to preserve the stories, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage of Quincy and the surrounding area.
The Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion features a premier example of Richardson Romanesque architecture recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. The entire first floor has been restored to its former Victorian splendor. The second and third floors house gallery spaces with exhibits on local history, Native Americans, Mississippi Wildlife and Dinosaurs as well as an exhibit which changes each year. The collections held by The Quincy Museum are extensive and are nationally recognized by the Smithsonian Institution.
